It was easy to find Timoleague Friary as it was the most prominent feature on the coast as you enter town. It was founded by the Franciscans in 1300 on the site of the ancient monastery of St Molaga. Apart from his religious activities St Molaga is said to have brought beekeeping and honey to Ireland.
